PLEXIBOND, Healthy Home and Knoxout came through with thrilling victories in the United Architects’ Basketball Club (UABC) Mini Cup 2012 last Sunday at the Cebu Eastern College gym.
Plexibond eked past Konstrukt Permaplast, 52-51, thanks to a freethrow made by Boy Lastimosa after a foul by Jay-R Decatoria.
Ferdinand Tiro led the way for the winning squad with 17 points, which spoiled the 21-point performance of Decatoria for the losing team.
In the second game, Knoxout knocked out Wallguard, 59-58, as Duane “The Shadow” Anino, made some crucial three-pointers down the stretch to seal the win.
Richard Badayos paced the squad with 12 while Chad Go added 11 markers.
In the final game of the afternoon, Michael Cinco posted 32 points to lead Healthy Home to a 68-62 win over Titan Elastomeric. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
