Manila Water urges customers to avail desludging services amid dry spell

MANILA, Philippines — Manila Water is encouraging customers to avail themselves of its scheduled septic tank desludging services this May as warmer and drier weather persists in many areas.
The company said extended dry conditions may contribute to higher household water use, making regular septic tank maintenance important in preventing overflows, foul odors and sanitation concerns.
Manila Water said its desludging program helps ensure that septic tanks function properly while protecting communities and waterways from untreated wastewater.
The service is also part of the company’s efforts to promote public health and environmental protection across its concession areas.
Customers were advised to coordinate with their barangays and ensure access to their septic tanks on their scheduled desludging date.
For May, Manila Water desludging teams will visit portions of Bagong Nayon, Sta. Cruz and San Luis in Antipolo City; San Juan, Sta. Ana, San Andres and San Isidro in Cainta, Rizal; Sta. Ana in Taytay, Rizal; Kalayaan in Angono, Rizal; Banaba in San Mateo, Rizal; Baras in Rizal; Malanday, Concepcion Uno, Parang and Nangka in Marikina City; Sacred Heart, St. Ignatius and Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City; and selected accounts in Addition Hills in Mandaluyong City and Ugong in Pasig City.
Scheduled desludging services are available at no additional cost to customers.
