MANILA, Philippines — The National Capital Region Police Office’s (NCRPO) sixth most wanted person was arrested over a kidnapping case in Pasay City, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Monday.
Identified as a 39-year-old man under the alias “Jaycee,” the suspect was caught last Sunday at the Baseco Port Area in Manila, according to the PNP in a statement.

His arrest was done through a warrant issued by the Pasay City Regional Trial Court Branch 297 for kidnapping and serious illegal detention with no bail recommended, the police noted.
“The case stems from a June 13, 2024 incident in Pasay City where the complainant was allegedly taken against his will by individuals posing as law enforcement officers,” the PNP explained.
“The victim and his driver were later moved to several locations and allegedly subjected to threats and coercion to disclose financial account information, resulting in the unauthorized transfer of assets. The victims were later released after several hours,” it added.
The PNP did not immediately give further details on the case nor explain how Jaycee was able to evade arrest for nearly two years. /cb
