2 brothers shot dead in QC
Two brothers who were reportedly involved in an illegal activity were shot and killed by a man on Wednesday night in Quezon City, the police said Thursday.
However, the victims managed to stab and wound their attacker before they were killed, according to Police Officer 3 Joselito Gagaza of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit.
Gagaza identified the fatalities as Ronald Sagun, 34, and his brother, Reynold, 32, both residents of Barangay (village) Payatas in Quezon City.
Their attacker, Antonio Tamayo, 47, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment where he remains confined and under the custody of policemen.
According to the victims’ neighbors, the Saguns and Tamayo were involved in stealing gasoline although they were competitors.
The police, however, did not give more details about the three men’s illegal activities.

Before the two could react, Tamayo pulled out a .45-cal. pistol and shot Reynold repeatedly.
At this point, Ronald took out a knife and stabbed Tamayo several times before he was also shot by the latter.
The police said bystanders took the three men to the hospital.
The Saguns, however, died before they could receive treatment.
