The agency’s data also showed that the equipment was procured by the PNP National Headquarters Bids and Awards Committee from congress-introduced changes and adjustments in 2024; as well as the police force’s Capability Enhancement Program in 2025.

“This will augment the capabilities of our patrollers and our units to deny the occurrence of focus crimes,” Nartatez said in an interview after the ceremony.

Focus crimes refer to murder, homicide, physical injury, rape, robbery, theft, and carnapping.

The PNP chief further noted that the personnel carriers will be deployed for the law enforcement agency’s tourist police units. /mr
