Pagasa: Cloudy weather expected over PH on Tuesday, March 31

MANILA, Philippines — Partly cloudy to cloudy weather is expected over the whole country on Tuesday, March 31, the state weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies.

There is a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, according to Pagasa weather specialist Veronica Torres during the agency’s morning forecast.

But, she did note that “the ridge of a high pressure area is extending over Northern Luzon. That means there is a lower chance of thunderstorm development over that area.”

Meanwhile, she noted the situation in Visayas and Mindanao: “Fair weather continues to prevail and there are still chances of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening.”

There are no new low pressure areas within the Philippine area of responsibility.
