Guards surprise 2 workers in ‘pot session’ in Capitol

TWO employees of the Cebu provincial government will be investigated after they were spotted in a “pot session” in their office close to midnight.

Capitol security guards Rosalio Tigle and Roel Illustrisimo said they saw a male employee and his female companion taking illegal drugs inside the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) at 11:51 p.m. last Wednesday.

A third person was also seen with the two but reportedly left earlier.

The guards did not specify what drugs were used and were unable to apprehend the personnel, who scampered off.

Provincial Administrator Eduardo Habin said the two employees will be investigated by the Committee on Discipline and

Investigation.

Cebu Daily News is withholding the names of the Capitol employees pending results of the investigation.

Habin said the security guards will also be investigated to find out why they allowed the employees to stay in the premises long after the end of office hours. /Correspondent Carmel Loise Matus
