IBP-B leads Wednesday Club hoop
THE Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)-B led by Allan Geotina crushed defending champion, Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), 76-67, Wednesday night for its second win in as many games to share the early lead with IBP-Yellow in the Wednesday Club basketball tournament at the Capitol Parish gym.
IBP-B jumped to a, 24-18 rally in the opening period and padded its lead to 14 points with a blistering 16-8 run to rule the half, 40-26. The carnage continued in the third quarter when IBP-B unloaded another blistering, 21-11 run to post a, 61-37, advantage going to the final quarter.
PICPA rallied in the fourth and outscored IBP-B, 30-15 but fell short of snatching the win.
The cage brothers, Niño Busi and Barry Busi led IBP-B with 17 and 14 points, respectively, while Kirby Raboy and Al Lagahit added a combined 23-point effort.
Arjam Bonsucan and Lito Ortiz paced PICPA with a game-high 25 and 16 points, respectively, as Ban Talaroc and Yoly Meso added double figures each.
