MANILA, Philippines—A Philippine Airlines aircraft has failed to land in the northern Laoag International Airport due to poor visibility, Radyo Inquirer 990AM reported Thursday.
PAL flight PR 226, which was carrying 152 passengers, left the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 for Laoag City at 10 a.m., the report said, quoting the NAIA media affairs office.
But poor visibility in the northern city due to Tropical Storm “Dindo” (International name “Doksuri”) made it risky for the passenger plane to land, prompting the pilot to steer the aircraft back to Manila.
The plane safely landed at NAIA 2 in Manila around 12 noon, said Radyo Inquirer.
As of 11 a.m., Tropical Storm “Dindo” (International name “Doksuri”) was spotted at 150 kilometers east-northeast of Aparri, Cagayan Thursday. With report from Jay Dones, Radyo Inquirer 990AM
