MANILA, Philippines — Following Malacañang’s declaration of March 20, 2026 as a regular holiday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) is suspending the expanded number coding scheme on Friday in line with the observance of the Muslim holiday, Eid’lFitr.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. earlier declared March 20, 2026 as a regular holiday due to the commemoration of Eid’l Fitr, which signifies the end of the Feast of Ramadan.

(The number coding is automatically suspended during official and special non-working holidays.)

With this, the agency urged motorists to plan their long weekend trips to avoid any accidents.
