MAN FOUND DEAD IN MINGLANILLA

A MAN was found dead in barangay Tungkop, Minglanilla town, southern Cebu.

The man, believed to between 30 and 40 years old, had a gunshot wound in the head. The man had a helmet on and was holding a motorcycle key when he was seen around 6 a.m. yesterday.

A black Honda Wave motorcycle with plate number 4373-IR was found about 10 meters away from the body.

Police said recovered a motorcycle registration certificate under the name of one Jeracel Baoy of barangay Das, Toledo City.

Police said they recovered from the man’s possession a driver’s license under the name of one Limpio Reslester, 23, of Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

An empty shell of a .45 pistol  was found in the area.

The man wore a black T-shirt, navy blue short pants and a pair of black slippers.

Residents in the area told police that a gunshot was heard in the area where the man was found dead around 8 p.m. last Tuesday.

MAN ACCUSED OF MOLESTING GIRL

A 70-YEAR-OLD man was arrested after he was accused of molesting an 11-year-old girl in barangay Dumlog, Talisay City, southern Cebu.

Juanito Cruz denied any wrongdoing.

Police said the girl went to the man’s house last Tuesday afternoon. The girl later left the house with a P50 bill.

The girl was later asked by her aunt and some neighbors on what the man did to her. The girl confessed that the man touched her private parts.

Police were called and arrested Cruz.

Cruz said he was just being kind to the girl and gave her P50 as “baon.”
