THE British Council announced the call for applications to youth summit in the United Kingdom.
Sixty social activists will be selected from all over the world to attend the Global Youth Summit in England from Nov. 13 to 19.
This weeklong activity will include sharing of best practices in the areas of human rights, climate change, poverty reduction, education, HIV/AIDS and social entrepreneurship. Participants will work with experts and organizations like MTV, Oxfam and Save the Children.
The activity will also feature training, workshops, visits to local community projects and establish innovative solutions to pressing global challenges.
Applicants should be aged 16 to 19, have a proven track record of social entrepreneurship and volunteer work and possess a good command of English.
An online call requesting applicants to submit a written application and a two-minute YouTube video detailing their track record in community work and how they plan to contribute to the network activity can be found at www.global-changemakers.net.
The deadline of application is on July 24.
