MANILA, Philippines—Two more prospective candidates for the vacant position of Chief Justice of the Supreme Court have declined their nominations, records of the Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) showed.
They are Court of Appeals Presiding Justice Andres Reyes and Pedro Aquino, who turned down their nominations in separate letters to the JBC.
Sixteen nominees have so far declined their nominations, including one who has withdrawn his acceptance.—Tetch Torres
