Cloudy Tuesday with rain showers expected PH-wide

MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies and rain showers will prevail in most parts of the country Tuesday due to the easterlies and northeast monsoon or “amihan”, according to the state weather bureau.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), in its 5 p.m. bulletin, said the northeast monsoon will continue to affect Northern Luzon while the easterlies prevail over the rest of the country.
“We are expecting that cloudy skies and rain showers will be experienced in Cagayan and even in parts of Isabela,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
The “amihan” will l cause partyl cloudy to cloudy skies and trigger isolated rain showers in the Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley and Aurora.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country is forecast to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms because of the easterlies, Pagasa added.
No low-pressure area (LPA) is currently being monitored by the bureau in or around the Philippine area of responsibility. /gsg
