Delos Santos bags 21k crown
Mary Grace delos Santos of Zamboanga chalked up a close win as she topped yesterday’s 21-kilometer run of the Hunat Sugbo Dos: Dagan Para ni Maning of the Parklane International Hotel held at Ayala Center Cebu’s The Terraces.
Coming off a 21k victory in the 12th dyAB Kapamilya Run last weekend, Delos Santos slowed down a bit but the Philippine Team still escaped with the win by clocking one hour, 37 minutes and 14 seconds to rule the women’s category.
She barely beat one of Cebu’s noted runners in the comebacking Christy Sevellino-Tutor, who clocked one hour, 37 minutes and 31 seconds for second place.
Madelyn Carter finished third place with a time of one hour, 43 minutes and 26 seconds.
In the men’s side of the 21k, Kenyan Josphat Too claimed the top spot by clocking one hour, 12 minutes and 32 seconds.
fellow Kenyan Abraham Missous was at second place with a time of one hour, 14 minutes and 51 seconds. Cebuano Adonis Singson rounded off the top three runners with a time of one hour, 16 minutes and 54 seconds.

Article continues after this advertisementEnriquez crossed the finish line in 40 minutes and 50 seconds while Dunkin clocked one hour and 54 seconds.
Jobert Carolino of Davao and Lynle Cardenas of the Paknaan Elementary school ruled the 6k race. John Cliff Debolusan and Aubrey Lusanta topped the 3k distance.
Cash prizes were given to the winners in each category. A sumptous breakfast was also prepared for all finishers.
More than 2,000 runners joined the race that aimed to raise funds for Parklane’s charity works. It also pays tribute to the late Manuel Ting, president of Parklane International Hotel.
