MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Executive Secretary (OES) will review the 125-day accomplishment report submitted by the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI), according to Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro.

The report lists the body’s referrals, hearings, inspections, and other milestones covering the period from Sept. 15 last year to Jan. 18, 2026.

She also said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. and ICI Commissioner and only remaining member Andres Reyes Jr. had not formally spoken about the body.

In a statement on Friday, the ICI said it delivered “substantial and measurable results” since its establishment despite limited manpower and resources.

These include the filing of nine referrals with the Office of the Ombudsman involving 65 individuals, coordination of referrals of 66 more individuals to the Department of Justice for the issuance of Immigration Lookout Bulletin Orders, and 32 hearings involving 36 witnesses.

Moreover, the ad hoc body said it conducted about 44 hours of proceedings with 25 prominent personalities—seven senators, 13 members of the House of Representatives, and five agency heads.

In a chance interview in January, Marcos said the ICI is “coming toward the end,” noting that appointing new commissioners will depend on how much work the superbody has left.
