MANILA, Philippines — Executive Secretary Ralph Recto has reminded newly sworn public officials to serve with the goal of uplifting the lives of Filipinos.

He made the remarks as he administered the oath of office to over 58 newly appointed public officials on Thursday at Malacañang.

“This is not a title to elevate oneself. It is a vow to humble oneself to elevate the people,” he said in his speech, as quoted in a press release on Friday.
