Marcos leads launch of Tesda Skills Passport Mobile app

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday led the launching of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) Skills Passport Mobile Application, marking his first appearance at an event outside of Malacañang since he was hospitalized for diverticulitis.
The mobile application is a new digital tool aimed at making technical education, skills training, and employment opportunities more accessible to Filipinos.
The TESDA Skills Passport Mobile App is available for download on Android and iOS devices
“Through the TESDA Skills Passport Mobile Application, we now have an all-in-one digital platform,” Marcos said in Filipino at the Makabagong San Juan National Government Center in San Juan City.
“Here you will find important information about TESDA trainees, scholarships, employment opportunities, TESDA-accredited training institutions, and TESDA online training courses,” he added.
The TESDA Skills Passport Mobile App will serve as a job portal, connecting TESDA-certified individuals with employers and industry partners nationwide.
Additionally, it will enable users to plan their training, study online, and apply for scholarships through a single platform.
Marcos noted that this year’s national budget allocates P20 billion to TESDA, the agency’s largest budget in history.
“For our TESDA scholars, you have your own digital storage where you can prove your National Certificate and trainings,” said Marcos.
“Expect that we in the government will not stop working to help you make your lives easier,” he added. /gsg
