Manila university receives bomb threat, no explosives found

MANILA, Philippines — The Centro Escolar University (CEU) received a bomb threat on Tuesday morning, but security personnel found no explosives in the campus, according to a police report from the Manila Police District (MPD).
The MPD said CEU student council president Maria Nicole Carrido received the threat at around 9:36 a.m. through an email from the address trnp67270@gmail.com.
“Time is running out. All buildings inside the premises are [compromised]… Happy hunting! Leave the premises on or before 10 a.m. There will be a 15-minute interval for the great show… Impeach (President) Bongbong Marcos now. Marcos resign,” the email read, according to the MPD.

Police said Carrido then informed the school authorities, who alerted security personnel to search the premises.
“After the conduct of initial paneling, there were no suspected items found,” the MPD said.
MPD personnel also conducted a search of the campus and found no explosives. /gsg
