5th AMO Cup opens today at Alta Vista

GOLFERS gather at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club today for the 5th AMO Cup—the Albino D. Gothong Memorial Golf Tournament.

Titles up for grabs are overall gross champion, overall net champion, class A, B, C, seniors and guests gross champion, net champion, super seniors, ladies gross champion and net champion.

Special awards will also be given to the nearest pin in hole no. 6 and most accurate drive in hole no. 11.

Interested golfers can still register for this one-day to play individual medal play tournament at the venue. Registration fee is pegged at P2,000 plus P200 mulligan.

Hole-in-one prizes include a Hyundai car, club car golf cart, a Sta. Lucia residential lot, round-trip tickets for two to Singapore courtesy of Marist Travel and a motorcycle each from Norkis and Skygo.

Full handicap will be used basing on the lowest handicap of the last three months—April, May and June. Guests are required to submit handicap certification from their club. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
