PAG-IBIG housing LOAN RESTRUCTURING
PAG-IBIG Fund reminds all housing loan borrowers who have been delinquent in paying their loan amortization for at least 3 months to avail of the loan restructuring and penalty condonation before June 30.
Likewise, employers who did not collect Pag-IBIG Fund membership contributions from their employees are also advised to avail of the penalty condonation.
After the June 30 deadline, Pag-Ibig will start the foreclosure of delinquent housing loan accounts and the filing of criminal cases against erring employers.

Media Excellence Awards in Cebu
GLOBE Telecom will hold its first Media Excellence Awards in Cebu to recognize print and broadcast journalists as well as bloggers.
Globe introduced the annual Media Excellence Awards on Sept. 21, 2011, alongside the celebration of Cebu Press Freedom Week to recognize Cebu media who are breaking new grounds in news dissemination and who possess the best in communication skills and creativity.
The deadline for entries is July 31. Entries will be screened on Aug. 1 to 31, while awarding of winners is on Sept. 21.
“Beyond the daily coverage of developing events, Globe wants to further encourage media excellence in civic, investigative, and explanatory journalism that would delve into social concerns. Media excellence is crucial if our country should lead forward in terms of social and economic development within an atmosphere of freedom,” said Yoly C. Crisanto, head of Globe Corporate Communications Division.
Award categories include Reporter of the Year and Feature Story of the Year for print, radio, and TV; Columnist of the Year; Radio Broadcaster of the Year; TV Broadcaster of the Year; and Blogger of the Year. Prizes range from P10,000 to P20,000 per winner plus a trophy. Editors of the winning reporters will also receive P5,000 and a trophy.
The judges’ decisions for the writing categories shall be based on content (50 percent), style (25 percent) and social impact (25 percent).
For the bloggers, consistency of content on the advocacy is 50 percent, reader friendly presentation and design content is 20 percent and social impact, 30 percent. Entry forms are downloadable from www.globe.com.ph/meawards.
