Pagasa also said that the periphery of Ada and the northeast monsoon will bring strong to gale-force gusts over these areas:

Monday

Aside from this, Pagasa warned of minimal to moderate risk of storm surge with peak heights up to two meters within the next 48 hours over the low-lying or exposed coastal communities of Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Samar, and Biliran.

Meanwhile, Pagasa said that Ada is forecast to move generally northwestward this Saturday before slowly moving northward to northeastward on Sunday. The agency added that from Sunday onwards, Ada is expected “to move slowly in a looping pattern” over the sea east of Southern Luzon.

Pagasa also noted that landfall over Catanduanes is possible in a further westward shift in the forecast track, however, it added that changes in forecast track are not ruled out. /das
