The Quiapo Church Command Center registered similar figures at 980,800 as of 7 p.m.
Of the total, around 150,000 devotees were within the vicinity of Quiapo Church, while 811,200 devotees were participating in the Traslacion procession.
As of writing, the andas carrying the image of Jesus Nazarene is still located at Fraternal St. and is now approaching Vergara St.
It spent over four hours in Arlegui St., which prompted the Quiapo Church to make a pronouncement that the entire procession may take over 21 hours to complete.
The andas left Quirino Grandstand at exactly 3:58 p.m. It has yet to even reach the Minor Basilica of San Sebastian, where the traditional “Dungaw” is held.
The Dungaw is one of the most awaited parts of the Traslacion procession, as it features a solemn moment between the images of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel de San Sebastian and Jesus Nazareno.
For comparison, the Dungaw in 2025 commenced at 5: 45 p.m. It also took the Andas four to five hours to reach the basilica from Vergara St. /mr
