SISTER TEAMS Petron Blaze Boosters and B-Meg Llamados fight for solo second place when they face-off in today’s main game of the 36th PBA Governors’ Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.
In the first game, the winless Air21 Express try to stave off elimination against the slumping Meralco Bolts.
The Boosters and the Llamados, along with the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, are tied at second place with identical 3-2 (win-loss) records, trailing solo leaders Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters, who are 4-1.
The Boosters are fresh from an 82-81 overtime thriller against the Alaska Aces, while the Llamados are riding the crest of a two-game winning streak.
The Llamados’ last win came at the expense of the erstwhile unbeaten Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters, whom they clobbered, 111-105, in their out-of-the-country showdown in Dubai, UAE, last June 30.

Hinson finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
The Express, meanwhile, are in a must-win situation against the Bolts as a loss will mean elimination for them.
Air21 is the only winless squad left, occupying the last spot of the standings with a dismal 0-4 slate.
The number seven to nine squad will be booted out after the eight-game elimination round.
