MANILA, Philippines – The missing vehicle allegedly stolen from the highly secured military’s main headquarters at Camp Aguinaldo has been found abandoned in Bulacan, a military spokesman said Wednesday.
The Mazda Familia vehicle of Colonel Nelson Chedrome of the Armed Forces of the Philippines was retrieved at about 8:00 a.m Tuesday in Sta. Cruz village, Angat, military spokesman Colonel Arnulfo Marcelo Burgos Jr. told reporters.
Burgos said they were “pursuing leads” but could not divulge more information to avoid compromising the investigation.
“All angles are being looked into,” he said, adding that the vehicle could have been used as a getaway vehicle of a crime.
The vehicle was found intact and now in the custody of Angat police, Burgos added.
Chedrome’s vehicle went missing Saturday when he arrived home at his quarters at 409B Capinpin Avenue in Camp Aguinaldo.
The suspects also broke into his quarters, taking away two of his cellphones.
