Dark Team trips White in Father’s Day friendly match
THE Dark Team shocked White, 118-113, Sunday night in a friendly match highlighting the Punta Princesa Basketball Cup (PPBC)-2012 Fathers’ Day celebration at the Vicente Sotto Memorial gym in Punta Princesa.
White led 28-21 in the first quarter but saw this advantage dwindle to just one, 77-76, at the end of the third canto. Dark then outscored White in the game’s last 10 minutes, 42-36 to post the five-point victory.
Fritz Sullano scattered a game-high 27 points mostly in the fourth period to lead Dark while Michael Arias added 20 markers. Ciobern Mante and Yok Alesna paced White with 26 and 22 points, respectively. White’s chances was doomed by the dismal shooting of Lito Navarro who was handcuffed to a season-low 3 points.
The event is made possible through the efforts of PPBC officials led by Punta Princesa councilman Navarro and Commissioner Ian Aparri.
