THE AMATEUR golf circuit heats up next week as the NGAP Globe Business Amateur Circuit continues next week with the Philippine Seniors Amateur Golf Championship in the event set June 27-29 at the Camp Aguinaldo Golf Club in Quezon City.
The organizing National Golf Association of the Philippines has added the mid-am event to provide players in the 30-54 age-bracket a tournament where they could further hone their talent and skills.
That would ensure a wide-open battle for top honors not only in the Open division of the Mid-Am, set over 54 holes, but also in Classes A (handicap 5-10) and B (10.1-16) to be played over 36 holes in the event serving as part of the NGAP-Globe amateur circuit.
Also on tap are the age-group competitions set over 36 holes in the first and third day, including Category II (60-64), Category III (65-60), Super Senior I (70-74), Super Senior II (75-79) and Super Senior III (80 and above). /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
