THE rehabilitation of the slope protection wall of Horizons 101 in Cebu City was finished ahead of schedule.
“As far as slope protection construction is concerned, it was 100% finished last June 8,” said Cerwin Eviota, communications consultant of the 50-story condominium project in barangay Cogon-Ramos.
House repair of one of five damaged house, however, hit some snags over disagreements between the developer and one of the affected residents.
The Office of the Building Official issued a cease and desist order on the Horizons 101 construction after its the slope protection wall of their foundation excavation collapsed last April 10.
Based on their plan, the project developers was scheduled to finish the 67-day rehabilitation work today.
The accident last April destroyed at least five houses located near the perimeter of their project.
“What’s left now is the house repair. It could have been done earlier if not for a renegotiation of an initial money claim that did not push through,” Eviota added.
But as negotiation failed, both parties agreed to repair the house just like the rest of the affected residents, Eviota said. /Correspondent Jessa J. Agua
