One more individual accused of graft and malversation in connection with irregularities in the Oriental Mindoro flood control project has been arrested, the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) confirmed.
A police report from the CIDG identified the accused in custody as Department of Public Works Mimaropa (DPWH 4B) Planning and Design Division officer-in-charge Engr. Montrexis Tamayo.

The Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) obtained two new freeze orders targeting assets of those implicated in the flood-control graft scandal, bringing the value of immobilized holdings to nearly P12 billion.
The assets, the AMLC said, were determined to be linked to violations of Republic Act No. 3019, otherwise known as the “Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act,” as well as “Malversation of Public Funds and Property” under Article 217 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended.
Harry Roque stays in The Hague after doctors block Austria flight
Former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque on Tuesday night said he is still in The Hague, the Netherlands, after disembarking from his flight bound for Austria because doctors had not cleared him to travel.
In a Facebook Live video, Roque said he got off KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight KL 1901 after airport personnel learned he had a medical certificate declaring him “unfit to fly” following a recent surgery.
