Malacañang names new PSC head
MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on Friday confirmed the appointment of Commodore Andro Val Abayon as Acting Head of the Presidential Security Command, replacing Major General Peter Burgonio.Burgonio, meanwhile, was designated as Acting Division Commander of 8th Infantry Division.

Abayon was a Navy veteran with a background in intelligence.
He previously oversaw the Naval Special Operations Group, an elite sea-air-land force.
