BATANGAS CITY, Philippines—A 54-year-old fish dealer was shot dead while on board his tricycle along the national road in Barangay (village) San Jose, Santo Tomas town Tuesday morning, police said.
Chief Inspector Manuel Castillo, town police chief, said Danilo Perez was killed on the spot at 8:23 a.m. when an unidentified gunman shot him in the head with a .45 caliber firearm.
Witnesses said the gunman fled onboard a passenger jeep. Police have yet to establish motive for the killing.
