Seaman shot dead
A 31-year-old seaman was shot dead by three men in barangay Tungkop, Minglanilla town, southern Cebu last Friday afternoon.
Joebert Aurelio, a native of Silay City, Negros Occidental, suffered gunshot wounds in the jaw and neck.
He died a few minutes after he was brought to the South General Hospital in Naga City.
Police are eyeing a love triangle behind the violence, said SPO1 Renato Masangkay, investigator of the Minglanilla police.
Police said Aurelio left his wife in Silay City to join another woman in Minglanilla town.
Police said three men on board a motorcycle arrived in sitio Bantayn on last Friday afternoon and asked around where Aurelio lived.
When the assailants saw the man outside his house, they fired several shots at their target then drove off, said police.
