A cornea transplant is most often used to restore vision to a person with a damaged cornea. A cornea transplant also can relieve pain or other symptoms associated with cornea diseases.

According to Lacson, the surgery was conducted on October 14.

“[I’m] still healing. Sutures and all,” he said.

The Senate, meanwhile, will resume its sessions on November 10.

Lacson earlier said the Senate panel on blue ribbon’s inquiry into anomalies surrounding government infrastructure projects will resume on November 14 if he is reelected as its chair. /jpv
