Fire destroys P2-M worth of property in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines—Roughly P2 million-worth of property was destroyed after fire razed a two-story tire shop in Quezon City before dawn Friday, a fire officer said.

Fire officer 2 Wilson Bautista said the fire that gutted the Althea Retreading Corporation located at lot 12, East Fresno Street, California Village in Barangay (village) San Bartolome, Novaliches,, started at 2:20 a.m. and reached fifth alarm before it was put out at 5:04 a.m.

The cause and origin of the fire have yet to be determined, Bautista said, adding that no immediate reports of injuries or casualties have reached their office as of posting time.
