BAR fetes 1st Conference hoop winners

THE Basketball Association of Ramos (BAR)-2011 First Conference basketball tournament feted its top performers last Wednesday night at the Benjamin Solon Sports Complex in barangay Cogon Ramos, Cebu City.

BAR president Emot Salcedo assisted by BAR adviser Noel Godiz handed out the cash prizes, trophies and medals to the top performing teams and individuals.

The Beerboys with skipper Richard Regidor received P7,000 as champion while second placer C.A. Essentials with team owner Ric Bastida got P5,000. Third placer Rama Boys Barkada with skipper Andy Borres received P3,000.

Glen Birao of the Beerboys took the coveted MVP award while joining him in the Mythical Five selection were Keith Arellano, James Lloyd Noel, Rocky Bacalso and Reynold Zamora.

Other individual awardees: Mayor Mike Rama (3-Point King); Fil-Am Erik Camota (Best Rookie); Mark Galo (Most Improved Player);  – Erwin Ferrer (Best Defensive Player) and Richard Regidor and Art Arellano (Sportsmanship Award).
