MRT-3 train going to GMA-Kamuning removed due to technical issue

MANILA, Philippines—A southbound train on the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) bound for GMA-Kamuning Station was pulled from service Friday morning due to a non-specific “technical issue.”
In a Facebook advisory, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said the train was removed from the main line at 7:13 a.m., and passengers were transferred to the next revenue train at 7:17 a.m.

“Skipping trains have also been deployed to accommodate passengers affected by the removal of the defective train,” it said.
“We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this incident, and we thank you for your patience and understanding,” it added.
As of this writing, the agency has not disclosed the precise nature of the technical issue affecting the train. /mcm/abc
