A 62-YEAR-OLD woman believed to have been experiencing hallucinations was found hanging dead in a nipa hut in barangay Tigbao, Badian town, southern Cebu.
Carmelita Baltazar was found around 11 a.m. last Tuesday with a rope looped around her neck and the other end tied to a wooden beam.
Baltazar, a single mother and a barangay treasurer, was discovered by her 43-year-old sister Rene Pamaybay in a kneeling position.
The woman was declared dead by Dr. Urduja Espiritu, the town’s health officer.
Police said there were no signs of foul play in the woman’s death.
The woman lived alone in the nipa hut.
