50 families evacuated in Bukidnon due to flooding – NDDRRMC

MANILA, Philippines – Fifty families were evacuated in Bukidnon after flashfloods due to heavy rains, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported.

Flashfloods hit the villages of Aglayan, Cabangahan, Bangkud and Linabo in Malaybalay after heavy rains Tuesday afternoon.

In Lantapan, heavy downpour also caused Bugcaon river to overflow.

Bugcaon bridge was also partially damaged but remained passable, and Dalaingan Creek water barriers were also damaged, the NDRRMC said.

The Office of Civil Defense in Region X is monitoring the effects of the incident, while the local disaster risk reduction and management council are assisting the victims.
