SINGAPORE — Singapore has charged a former Central Narcotics Bureau director with four counts of corruption for allegedly receiving sex in exchange for helping to secure business contracts.
Prosecutors allege 46-year-old Ng Boon Gay received oral sex last year from a female information technology sales executive when she worked for Hitachi Data Systems and Oracle Corp.
Ng pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday. If found guilty, Ng faces a fine of 100,000 Singapore dollars ($78,200), five years in jail, or both for each count.
Prosecutors last week charged a former Civil Defense Force commissioner with 10 counts of corruption for allegedly trading civil defence contracts for sex with three saleswomen.
