Child killed as landslide hits remote Davao City village

DAVAO CITY, Philippines–A one-year-old girl was killed Monday when landslide buried a house in a remote village here following days of intermittent rains, disaster officials reported.

Liza Mazo, regional director of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, withheld the name of the girl but said the landslide in Sitio Laian, Barangay Marilog struck at 2:50 a.m.
