Marcos inspects ‘zero balance billing’ program at Bataan hospital

BALANGA CITY, Bataan—President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. visited the Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center (formerly the Bataan Provincial Hospital) on Tuesday to assess the progress of the “zero balance billing” program.
Upon arrival, the President was welcomed by Bataan Gov. Joet Garcia, Congressman Albert Garcia of the province’s Second District, and Vice Gov. Cristina Garcia.
Gov. Garcia briefed the President on the successful implementation of the Zero Balance Billing program, noting that while detailed patient statistics were not immediately available, many have shared positive feedback about its impact.

According to the governor, patients, particularly indigents, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and economically disadvantaged individuals, expressed their appreciation for the program, calling it “highly beneficial.”
They noted that the hospital staff has been efficient in assisting with necessary paperwork and documentation, making the process easier for those in need.
Following the hospital visit, Gov. Garcia escorted the President to the nearby 1Bataan Bagong Pilipinas Integrated Action Center, where the President briefly interacted with schoolchildren who are beneficiaries of the “Provincial Government of Bataan Child Development Program.”
