Kapamilya Run on June 17

AROUND 2,000 running buffs have already enlisted for the 12th edition of the DYAB Kapamilya Run, slated June 17 at the Parkmall grouds in Mandaue City.

The race is part of DYAB’s celebration of its 17th anniversary.

According to June Perez of DYAB, most of the employees of ABS-CBN will join the race, which is one of Cebu’s longest running fun runs.

The annual fun run is put up to stengthen ABS-CBN and DYAB’s charity programs. This year, they are aiming to generate funds for the victims of Typhoon Sendong in Cagayan De Oro and for the earthquake victims in Negros Oriental. They are also planning to to build school buildings in Negros Oriental

Race distances available are 21k,12k, 6k and 3k. Registration areas are at the ABS-CBN headquarters in Jagobiao, Mandaue City, Elizabeth Mall, Robinson’s Place Cebu, J Center Mall and Gaisano Mactan. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
