DOH offering free Special Nursing Review Program for underboard nurses

MANILA, Philippines — Are you dreaming of becoming a licensed nurse? The Department of Health (DOH) is offering a free Special Nursing Review Program (SNRP) for underboard nursing graduates.

This development was announced by the DOH on Sunday.

“While you are preparing to become a licensed nurse, you can now become a clinical care associate (CCA) in DOH hospitals,” the DOH wrote in a Facebook post.

Interested underboard nurses can apply for the SNRP through the following:

  • Go to the nearest DOH hospital and coordinate with the chief nurse.
  • Go to the nearest Center for Health Development and coordinate with the training specialists.

Applications can be submitted until September 5, 2025 through this link.

In 2023, the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) announced that a customized nursing review program will be offered for CCAs and underboard nursing graduates to develop necessary skills to pass the nursing licensure examinations.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. earlier said that the joint initiative of the DOH and CHEd “helps address the lack of health care workers in the country and give opportunity to underboard nursing graduates to attend tutorials or review classes so that they have a better chance of passing the board exam.”
