MANILA, Philippines – The National Police Commission (Napolcom) updated the regular and collateral allowances for Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel.

This came after the commission en banc approved Memorandum Circular 2025-004 last Monday, Napolcom said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to Napolcom, the memorandum grants a P3,000 monthly special combat duty pay for personnel involved in police operations and a P300 daily combat incentive pay for officers in combat operations.

“Personnel assigned to high-risk tasks are entitled to a hazardous duty pay equivalent to 50 percent of their base salary, and those exposed to radioactive elements are granted an additional 15 percent,” the commission explained.

“For specialized operations, a sea duty pay of 25 percent and a flying pay of 50 percent of the base pay are provided to personnel engaged in maritime and air missions, respectively,” it added.

Napolcom further said police assigned to “isolated and difficult areas” will also be granted “hardship allowances” of 10 to 25 percent of their base pay.

The updated allowance scheme will take effect once certified by the Department of Budget and Management based on the availability of funds, according to Napolcom.

“By ensuring that their allowances are responsive to today’s economic realities and operational demands, we are not only recognizing their sacrifices but also strengthening their morale and commitment to serve,” Napolcom Vice Chairperson Rafael Calinisan said in the statement. —Nickola Marisse Nicolas, INQUIRER.net trainee
