Thaksin allies in Thai election landslide—exit polls
BANGKOK—Opposition allies of Thailand’s fugitive former leader Thaksin Shinawatra are on course for a landslide victory in a hotly contested general election, exit polls showed Sunday.
The pro-Thaksin Puea Thai Party is on course to win 313 seats, well ahead of the ruling Democrats on 152 seats, according to a projection by Suan Dusit University, which surveyed more than 150,000 people who voted.
