MANILA, Philippines – Senator Gregorio Honasan II signed a bank waiver but said it may only be used when a formal investigation is filed against him.
At a weekly forum in the Senate on Thursday, Honasan said he signed the waiver and submitted it to the Office of the Ombudsman Wednesday, June 6.
Two senators – Francis “Chiz” Escudero, and Ramong “Bong” Revilla Jr. – have also signed the same waiver to allow the opening of their peso and dollar accounts.
Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III said he was also willing to sign a similar waiver.
