MANILA, Philippines – Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Jessie Robredo told Radyo Inquirer on Thursday that he was willing to leave his post “any time.”
“Wala po akong balita na ganun ngunit ang pagpapasya po nyan ay parating nasa Pangulo (I have not received any report to that effect but the decision is still up to the President ,” Robredo told Radyo Inquirer on Thursday when asked to comment on reports that Senator Panfilo Lacson was being eyed to replace him.
Asked if President Benigno Aquino III gave him any hint that he would be replaced, Robredo said: “Wala hong pahiwatig at kung meron … pag sinabihan kami anytime naman (There’s no hint and if there is… if he tells us, then anytime).”
Robredo was also unfazed that he was bypassed, for the nth time, by the powerful Commission on Appointments.
This, he said, will not deter him from performing his job.
