MANILA, Philippines — The Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) is currently running on limited operations due to a technical problem, its operator said Thursday evening.
According to the Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC), LRT-1 trains are currently running from Dr. Santos Station to Central Station and vice versa only.
“Our engineering team is on-site and working diligently to resolve the issue and restore full line operations as quickly as possible,” the LRMC said in an advisory.
As of 11 p.m., the LRMC in an advisory announced that the LRT-1 resumed full operations at around 10:09 p.m. after all necessary repairs and comprehensive assessments were completed.
“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding during this unforeseen incident,” it added.

This occurred almost exactly a month after LRT-1 was also placed under temporary limited operations due to an electrical fault in June.
Meanwhile, it can be recalled that Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) also experienced a technical issue in June that caused delays in its operations. /das /gsg
