THE University of San Carlos (USC) Office of Population Studies Foundation Inc. will host a research dissemination forum featuring key research findings of the Consortium of Health Orientated Research in Transitioning Societies (Cohorts).
Cohorts consists of birth cohort studies from economically transitioning countries, such as Pelotas Birth Cohort Study from Brazil, Institute of Nutrition of Central America and Panama Nutrition Trial Cohort from Guatemala, New Delhi birth cohort from India, birth-to-twenty study from South Africa and the Cebu longitudinal health and nutrition survey from the Philippines, USC’s long-running research in collaboration with University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
World-renowned researchers involved in birth cohort studies will discuss their findings on the consequences of early nutrition and environment on adult health and socioeconomic outcomes. The forum will be held at the Marco Polo Hotel in Lahug, Cebu City on June 11, from 8:30 a.m to noon.
