A speed bump was all the killers apparently needed to have a good aim at their target.
A businessman was shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants as he was driving on his way to meet his partners Tuesday afternoon in Quezon City.
Rolando Gubatan, 48, succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds before reaching Veterans Memorial Medical Center.
Case investigator Senior Police Officer1 Jaime Jimena said the victim, a resident of Barangay (village) Sauyo in Novaliches, ran an electrical supply business.
Gubatan, who was travelling with a companion, was about to meet his business partners at a Red Ribbon restaurant on Mindanao Avenue when the ambush occurred at the corner of Greenville and Chopin streets in Sauyo at 5:45 p.m.
Two men on a motorcycle waited for the businessman’s Honda Civic sedan and may have waited for the car to slow down at a hump on the road before striking, Jimena said.
